Indigo International sponsors play ‘Pantomime: The Wizard of Odd’ by the Phnom Penh Players.

Indigo International is very happy to announce that we are sponsoring the upcoming play ‘Pantomime: The Wizard of Odd’, performed by the Phnom Penh Players.

There are three shows: Friday, December 2nd 2016 at 7 PM, and Saturday, December 3rd 2016 at 2 PM and 7 PM. It is a traditional, family-friendly pantomime. The show includes singing, dancing, jokes and audience participation, in the tradition of British Christmas pantomimes. The Phnom Penh Players has been putting on pantomimes for 10 years and they have become a staple of pre Christmas celebrations in Phnom Penh. Tickets are $10 and available at Le Grand Palais (Street 130), The Box Office (Street 244), The Flicks 1 (Street 95), and Alchemy GastroPub (Street 123).

The Phnom Penh Players is a non-profit theatre group that has been staging productions in Cambodia since 1992. The money we raise from our productions is donated to good causes in Cambodia – the actors and crew take nothing but fond memories and a sense of satisfaction. To date, the Phnom Penh Players have donated over $27,000 to local organisations including Sovanna Phum, the Royal University of Fine Arts, Epic Arts, Tiny Toones, PHARE, Apsara Arts Association, Cambodia Living Arts, Amrita Performing Arts and the National Theatre.

The charity organisation chosen to receive the proceeds of this year’s production is: Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE). Established in 1995 they work hard to provide food, shelter, medical care, general education and vocational training to children needing support, e.g. underprivileged children; maltreated children; children living in poverty and children without any formal education in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap. Please visit their website for more details about the important work that PSE is doing in Cambodia: http://www.pse.ong/
