Presentation of the Khmer DMAT, a new Cambodian developmental milestones test

Indigo International was invited to attend a two-day conference at Angkor Children’s Hospital in Siem Reap on 10th and 11th of February 2017. The reason of the conference was to present the GIZ-project ‘Khmer DMAT’, a test for measuring the typical development in Cambodian children, to professionals.

It was an intensive conference, where many professionals participated in order to review some aspects of the test. Two of our clinicians, Paula Willis (speech & language therapist) and Sol Espert Carrascosa (occupational therapist) attended in order to give their input on the project. Whilst it is not yet a fully finalised assessment, Indigo International hopes to use the knowledge gained at the conference to inform their treatment of local children, and to contribute further to this project to help it reach its completion.
